Where an agency or organisation is large enough, it may be useful to consider enhancing the skills of Human Resources staff and managers in problem-solving to avoid larger scale conflict, or indeed to construct policy & practices which enhance rather than erode relationships.
The Workplace Conference Facilitator Workshop is designed to develop an understanding of the philosophy & principles of restorative justice in the workplace, the skills to convene an effective conference, & a plan for implementing such a philosophy & practiceso that the practice can be sustained within the organisation.
Conducted over 3 days, the workshop is a mix of small & large group work, roleplay demonstrations, practice facilitation & theory. Feedback from these workshops has indicated that the program is both challenging & highly useful.
Workplaces which have taken advantage of this training include:
- a multicampus TAFE college
- a national counselling group
- a State Government IT business
- a statewide pathology company
- a department of corrections as part of a conflict resolution program across its statewide factilities
